SALES AND SERVICE ENGINEERS ATTEND THE 2014 NAPT TRADE SHOW

Purkeys’ Sales and Service Engineer Sean Miller and Director of Sales and Customer Service Jerel Ellis attended the 2014 National Association for Pupil Transportation (NAPT) Conference and Trade Show in Kansas City earlier this month. This was the first time Purkeys attended the event, which is usually attended by component suppliers to school bus manufacturers, state directors of pupil transportation and other director-level transportation people.

The goal of attending this event was to identify opportunities to work with companies within this specific industry. Although Purkeys often does business with the trucking industry, they recognize the school bus industry has similar needs. Sean and Jerel showcased Purkeys’ jumpstart machine, Lightning in a Box, which has great potential application for school bus companies. The timing of the recent cold weather burst was good and allowed for much discussion with attendees who were drawn to the LNB unit Purkeys had at its booth.

By attending the event Purkeys showed how their products and electrical expertise expand past the heavy duty trucking industry. The school bus transportation industry showed great interest in the services they provide. It was a huge success and the beginning of several new clients down the road.
