In early March, Purkeys sent seven members to Nashville for this year’s ATA Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) Annual Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition. Purkeys’ involvement has grown with the event through the years and it made for a busy week. All seven attendees were active in some facet of the TMC event including Recommended Practices (RP) task forces.

“One of the things we’ve really taken pride in when we write RP’s, we actually go out and test the practices to make sure they will work in the field,” said Purkeys Chief Creative Engineer Bruce Purkey.

Lots of familiar Purkeys favorites were on display at the show, but it was also an opportunity to introduce two new products. The efficient PAC shop charger was presented as a solution for fleets and dealerships that need to charge a lot of batteries in a short amount of time. The CAPS portable jump starter drew interest from attendees wanting a portable and powerful answer to their severly discharged batteries.

“TMC this year was a huge success for Purkeys,” said Larry Rambeaux, Purkeys Sales & Service Engineer. “Every year we attend TMC it’s a great event and this year was no different. We are looking forward to next year’s meeting as well.”
