Ever since Columbus was a boy, he liked to take things apart and learn about them as he put them back together. It all started with an old engine that his uncle gave him for Christmas! He pulled it apart and fixed it up, learning all the while. As he grew up, he continued to have an interest in learning how things work and in building things. This interest brought Columbus to Purkeys, where he has loved having the opportunity to become a product expert.

Columbus especially loves that in his job at Purkeys he gets to help people solve problems. Whether he talks them through an issue on the phone, or flies out to help them in person, he finds it deeply gratifying to help them discover the root of the problem and then work with them to fix it.

Columbus grew up hunting and fishing and loves the great outdoors. His favorite thing to do is take his son fishing; he loves when the two of them are knee-deep in a creek and he gets to teach his son his favorite pastime.

Family is very important to Columbus and he loves the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays because it gives his family a chance to get together, spend time, and share life’s great adventures.
