Growing up in Flint, Michigan—or “Vehicle City”—meant that Tim had the opportunity to spend a lot of time in a well-funded auto shop during his high school years. He developed a great interest in automotive repair and thought this interest would naturally move into a career. It did, but not the way Tim initially expected it to!

Over time, Tim had the opportunity to work in a local automotive parts store and his interest in parts manufacturing grew. He was able to attend a lot of auto shows and industry trade shows, which helped his understanding and expertise in the industry grow. Eventually, Tim’s journey led him into the heavy-duty parts industry, which he hadn’t expected. But he is enjoying the heavy-duty market and is glad for the shift in his career.

Tim’s favorite part about his job is how dynamic a workday can be. He may be visiting customers, attending trade show events, or sitting at his computer in the home office. Every day is different and interesting, and he loves working with the great people in the heavy-duty trucking industry.

In his time outside of work, Tim loves to spend time hiking in the mountains, as he finds this to be very calming and relaxing. Tim also enjoys travel and was privileged to spend a few years living and traveling in a campervan. This allowed him to explore many National Parks and Monuments. His favorites include places such as Lassen Volcanic Park, Sequoia National Park, and Mt. Rainer.

Tim also loves to spend time with great food and friends. He happily joins in for any chance to participate in activities with friends, which makes a holiday like Thanksgiving high on his list of favorites!
